seeing beauty in all

BLOOM – (n) a flourishing, healthy condition

(v) to be in or achieve a state of healthful beauty and vigor

I was taught from an early age to see and appreciate the good in every person and every situation. As we all know, it is difficult at times to find the good in someone or in where we are in our lives at the moment. However, I know that if you can step outside of yourself and see beyond your pain/discomfort/fear/anger, you can find something to appreciate about that person or circumstance and from this experience derive the lesson to be learned. The end result leaves you feeling more at peace by discovering the beauty in the situation and in turn, the understanding you gain from the lesson allows you to BLOOM

choose Love

As cliché as it sounds, I encourage you to "choose love". Some might argue that there are only two feelings, love and fear. If you are not living by love, or choosing love, that means you are living in fear. Fear breeds, all negative emotions. That's hard to argue, right? We all experience negative emotions from time to time, I know I do! Don't deny that you are feeling angry, or sad, or jealous, or whatever! Just DON'T reside there. Recognize that you are in a 'fearful' state, acknowledge the feeling and thank yourself for the message. Now it's time to move into a state of love. Go for a walk, listen to music, pet your dog or cat, or do something else that works for you to help move you towards love.

"The worse thing you can do for another is something they can do for themselves." My kids are probably tired of hearing that statement from me. That being said, my children are pretty confident in their life skills because of what I've taught them. It's so important to empower others by teaching them and helping them to understand things when they are confused.
